Everyone has a story about an object that they cherish, that holds their memories of home. It’s not just a matter of sentimental attachment; it is like a physical imprint of the life lived, material evidence of what would otherwise be relegated to our memory alone. That is why our homes and everything we accumulate over the course of many years constitute material evidence that we were here, on this planet. Objects or routines anchor us and contribute to a sense of comfort, stability, and safety. This installation brings together members of the community to explore the connections made with objects, past memories and culture.
